Never Stop Wishing

Sometimes wishes are not needed; for our desires alone will do. The Universe misses nothing. Our thoughts are prayers – which also implies that our thoughts are our wishes. So, just by thinking and going about your day, you are putting your preferences out into the world. One could argue then, that there really is no need to write down wishes at all. You just have to want them.

So why keep wishing? I say, because it’s fun! Because it gives your ego something to look back on as “proof” that God heard you – especially when you write your wishes down. About 2 years ago I wished that I would see a bear. I don’t recall writing down that particular wish, but I felt strongly enough about it to remember. I also lived in a mountain community where bears were often spotted in people’s backyards, so it was not an uncommon phenomenon. Then one day, 2 years later, I saw a black bear on a trail while hiking and was immediately reminded of my wish from long ago.

It didn’t matter how long it took, what matters is that it happened. You may be surprised to find that your creations of today are the manifestations of your desires from many years ago. That’s why it’s good to reflect. You may not remember how many blessings you have received! Another reason for wishing, is that every time you wish for something and see it come true, your faith strengthens and your belief in a power greater than yourself expands. No matter how bleak or hopeless something seems, never forget the power you hold to make a wish.
