Hidden Information

This blog is a follow up from The Forest Threshold. I ended that blog saying that once you submerge yourself deep into the forest, you start to have “hidden information” revealed to you. What I mean by this is not something too esoteric or far-out there. It’s more the information you discover about yourself.

When we don’t have enough time to experience silence in our day-to-day routines, our intuition gets drowned out. This is why I believe it’s imperative to carve out some “you time” everyday. So when I was recounting my experience from hiking in the woods, I came to a point where I thought about turning around. I knew I hadn’t gone as far as I wanted to go, so I decided to press on. It was in this moment, where I committed myself to the journey, that help arrived.

It was of the invisible kind. I knew it was there because I felt lighter and less afraid. I had insights and downloads that gave me much strength. This, to me, felt like channeling information – from something outside of myself. This “hidden information” came through when I was too tired to think. It’s kind of like right before bed or right when you wake up in the morning, and your mind is most receptive to “whatever” wants to get planted inside. I think that’s why hiking is just as effective as meditation, for me. Once I get to a certain point, and I’ve thought all my own thoughts, there is a blank canvas for God to come in and start painting on.
