Great Writers

Great writers can say what everyone else has already said, already noticed, already formed an opinion about, and bring it back to life. Great writers can transform an ordinary experience into a beautiful one. With their eloquent language and elaborate words, they can channel exquisite information onto memorable pages.

Their grammar is flawless; intimidatingly perfect. Yet not the first time around – even they have to let things steep and walk away for a while. Their dedication to endless revisions is daunting. It’s a miracle they stick with it. They have the talent of letting go of words, ideas, whole paragraphs even – for the sake of the whole. They are patient and persevering; passionate and deliberate. I am thankful for them all, giving me inspiration and joy through words.
