Consult the Higher Mind First

Often times we get these urges to do something, or a thought about the past arises which causes us to think we need to take action.  But how about we stop before we act and consult our higher mind first?

Our higher mind is the one that’s detached from our ego.  And it usually has another opinion than our lower mind.  Here’s an example: a thought about someone from your past comes up and you revisit the conversation you had, and then you come to the conclusion that maybe you should reach out to further clarify your point of view.  If you are wise, you take this idea to the next level up, the higher mind.  Immediately after posing the question (and many times, before you even finish asking), the answer comes through.  A subtle, “It’s not of importance” voice drops in.  And with it, you feel an instant sense of calm, and you don’t even have to know why this voice directs you in this way, you just know, it’s safe to let it go.  Now, you’re mental energy is freed up to think of more important things to do.
