I cannot tell you how many times I crossed out the words “fear” and wrote “love” that year I read the Bible front to back. I also cannot tell you how many times I change words from books that don’t resonate with me today. We all have an inner being that gives us “yea or nay” feelings when we read something. So, instead of following along blindly (or in definite disagreement), why not just change the words?
You don’t have to throw out the book, or stop learning about a topic that intrigues you. Just take what you want and leave the rest; think for yourself. Honor your own beliefs – even if you don’t know where they’re coming from. Half the fun is in following where they lead…
