Ask Your Journal

This blog could also be titled: “Time to find the answers you’ve been seeking.”

And it goes like this:

Step 1. Take out your journal

Step 2. Pose your question (write it down)

Step 3. See what comes (write it down)

Step 4: Trust it and move on

The key here is to write the very first thing that comes to mind – and not second guess it.  Yes, your answers will seem exceedingly obvious or “too simple” to be true.  But they are true.  So trust them and move on to the next question.

The biggest barrier to successfully doing this exercise is our inability to trust ourselves.  And, the lack of initiative to go through this very simple process.  But, I encourage you to try it the next time you feel stuck, or just don’t know what to do. It really does help because it releases us from our paralysis of “not knowing.”  We get instant gratification and a sigh of relief when we realize that we really do have the answers to our own questions within.
