A Being Day and a Doing Day

This is how my weekend is divided: Saturday I do-do-do and Sunday I be-be-be. This helps me balance getting things done with taking enough time to rest. Resting is the most over-looked health enhancement activity that we can do. I always have more energy to exercise, and experience less pain and fatigue while doing it, after a couple days of rest. Not to mention, feeling mentally restored to handle all the tasks of the upcoming week.

When all we ever do is go-go-go, we miss the magic in our midst and fail to be inspired. Inspiration goes a long way in helping us to be more productive and happy while we engage in our work. So it’s imperative to carve out a rest and rejuvenation day at least once per week.

It’s in the stillness that Spirit steps in on our behalf. If we never take time to rest, and just be, we tell the Universe, “I’ve got this,” and don’t need any assistance from It. So, next time you want something, stop and rest for a while before you jump into action. See what other ideas come through while you aren’t trying to figure anything out or get anything done. This is when the phone might ring, an email arrives, or a message is received that provides an even better solution you hadn’t considered before.
