The Power of Questions

Have you ever noticed the difference when you ask others to ask you a question verses when you ask yourself that same question? Many times you will find that your answers are more instinctual when you are responding to someone else. Why is this? Most of the time, it’s because we want to come up with the answer so fast that we don’t take as much time to think it through. When we are alone, we tend to over analyze our answers – so much so that we miss the very gut response that came first – which often holds the greatest frequency of our core truth.

Though there is great benefit to walking alone and pondering our thoughts, it is equally important to have others ask us questions, particularly about ourselves, so we can observe what unadulterated thoughts arise. I have often been surprised at my own responses when talking to others, and this has led to more inner awareness and curiosity. When I don’t think too much about how I feel and just allow whatever is bubbling up to come out, not only do I feel more integrity with my authentic self, but I also feel lighter inside and more satisfied with what I’ve said.

It is my belief that we can honor our intuition by acting more on our gut feelings. So perhaps you may want to start a new ritual with a friend or loved one, through the power of questions, to begin revealing your intuition’s answers and your Soul’s greatest truth.
