Trust that it’s Genuine

Compliments.  How many times have you wondered whether something someone said was really true of you?  Even very true-to-your-nature compliments can cause doubt to arise within.  I would say this is normal, but why not just trust that they are genuine?  Trust that when someone says you look beautiful, they mean it.  Trust that when someone says you are a good writer, that you are.  Error on the side of being optimistic, trusting, and self-honoring.  Why not?

Remember that, by you letting your light shine, you give permission for others to do the same.  And, by you being able to take in and believe in a compliment that is given to you, you are affirming to yourself, “Yeah I really am good at this and should be shining my light a little more!”

The more we can accept in the goods that others offer to us, the more appreciative and happy we will be.  The more we trust in our own good qualities, the more others can trust in theirs.  Believing in yourself is not just good for you because it rubs off on others too.
