This is the best affirmation for anyone who wants anything. For if we are firm in believing that we already have everything we need, the universe will keep giving us everything we want! It’s not about lying to yourself, it’s about trusting that when you are content with what you have, you will always receive more. On the other hand, when you are constantly asking for more, the universe says, “Well she doesn’t have what she wants. Let’s give her more of that.”
It’s tricky but it’s true. Perhaps a better way of looking at this is, if we have deep appreciation for the things in our lives, we will always find ourselves with more things around us to be appreciative of. When we are constantly disappointed with our lives, we can only attract more things that disappoint us.
The Dalai Lama has said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” What this implies is that if you want happiness be happiness. If you want enough in life, affirm that you already have enough in life. It’s as simple as that.
